Cincinnati is home to more than just Oktoberfest. We have a large Hispanic population as well. September 15 through October 15 is Cincinnati Hispanic Heritage month. Come celebrate Cincinnati’s Hispanic heritage at a number of events.
Cincinnati Hispanic Festival
What started as a small community fete in 1994 soon became a large and vibrant tradition. Come on out to the Hamilton County Fairgrounds on September 9 and 10 for food, dancing, and music. This year, organizers are expecting 15,000 visitors each day. Experience the different regional foods of Mexico and other Latin American countries. Enjoy the flash and beauty of traditional folk dances. Listen to all the different musical traditions. Purchase arts and crafts. Buy a raffle ticket for a new Hyundai with proceeds going toward scholarships.
If you like soccer, the Copa Su Casa tournament semi-finals and finals are played during the festival.
Celebrating Cincinnati Hispanic Heritage Month
September 15 through October 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month and Cincinnati has a lot going on. The Hispanic YP (Young Professionals) gives young professionals a chance to network. They invite Hispanic college students to attend.
The Ohio Hispanic Coalition celebrates with a dinner and keynote speaker from the Columbus City Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
GE will host an Aviation Female Diversity Recruitment Leadership Summit. This event offers a chance for minority female college students to learn about GE. It also lets GE identify and recruit highly talented minority women.
If you’d like to visit Oxford, Ohio, why not check out the UniDiversity Festival on September 24? You can learn more about valuable contributions of Latin American, Latino and Caribbean peoples and cultures in the United States.
