About ten minutes from Cincinnati are two small villages. Addyston is a small town and Sayler Park is the westernmost Cincinnati neighborhood. They overlook the Ohio River and Hwy 50.
Addyston began as an Ohio Pipe Factory town in 1891. That history continues as it is home to Ineos Abs Corporation, a thermoplastic resins manufacturer. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. Many of the homes are older and sport verandas that overlook the Ohio River. The median home price is $78,300. The village is working with developers to redevelop and restore the town through the Addyston Restoration Movement.
Schools are run by the Three Rivers Local School District. There is an elementary school, middle school and high school, all in nearby Cleves, Ohio. US News and World Report ranks Taylor High School as 111 in Ohio.
Sayler Park, Ohio
Sayler Park is east of Addyston. The neighborhood is one mile wide and two miles long. Many Sayler Park homes are older and located on large lots. The median home price is $127,263.
Schools are run by Cincinnati Public Schools. Sayler Park School serves pre-k through 8th grades. High school students may choose their high school, according to the Cincinnati Public school website. For more information, please follow this link.
